There are enough people here who are intelligent and skilled in various disciplines. It would be great to find ways to make the appropriate connections between idea people, skilled working people, managers, and all the folks who make businesses happen.
It would be a movement of employee owned business with a philosophy of healing communities. We have the talents but just lack the ability to make the proper connections with one another.
Let's make it happen.
That is an interesting idea, but wasn't it Ayn Rand's idea? I haven't read any of her books, but I understand that she suggested that the capable people withdraw from the regular economy and start their own.
Anyway, these kinds of ideas have a sort of "belling the cat" problem: who will be the first to take the risk? Maybe it is also a "devil you know vs devil you don't" issue. I think small communes have been successful in this way, though not scaling up very far. It would certainly be interesting to see something like this grow.
Ows is for anarchists, only. Get on board, or get off.
