Financial Advisers tell people to invest in companies that build pipelines. Financial Advisers think BP is a "well run" company. Financial advisers advise people to invest in Montsanto. Perhaps it's time to occupy their client's chairs and give them a little friendly counseling. It would be a lot easier to win against all these proposed pipelines if those who are investing them got a consciousness that they're actually funding the destruction of the planet.
Wonder if you knew that Montsanto is the starting point of everything electronic? No Montsanto.. no computers, no ipods, no cell phones... haha
DOn't get your post at all, wonder if you mine.
Montsanto is the worlds largest producer of silicon ingots, so if you like electronics.. you like Montsanto... of course, they also supply the boron, arsenic, phosphorous, silene and other interesting gases as well. all this green clean stuff.. isn't so clean when you get down to how it is made
It's hard if not impossible to be a purest - - - however, product designers indoctrinated with green principles of design are coming up with solutions, meanwhile we've got to try doing what we can . . . by consuming wisely, consuming less, supporting research.
More to the point, do you mean if one were to divest from Montsanto and used a computer we'd be supporting Montsanto whether we liked it or not? Doesn't mean we like genetic engineering or have to support it.
I definetly think the people who have invested in Monsanto should divest from Montsanto ; and others should boycott Montsanto products, and if Montsanto has a monopoly on silicon ingots, that should be rectified.
I'v been dead set against GMOs ever since reading both The Last Harvest and Altered Harvest which both provide a solid argument for why gmos are dangerous. And I don't think seeds or life should patented.
if Montsanto has a monopoly on silicon ingots, that should be recitified.: one of the best puns I have seen in ages!!!!!!! LOL
Sell your car then.
PS, If I understand you, maybe you need to car pool or figure out how to reduce your dependence on oil. I realize it's not easy for people who live in places with no public transportation, where the only shopping centers are malls a million miles from their houses. Revitalize towns to have stores so you don't have to drive a million miles to get what you need. (I know now I"m assuming your situation.) The post about finanical advisers was inspired because fracking and pipelines for "natural" gas are being proposed and built all over, and this is an EXTREMELY toxic and dangerous proposition. Do you want a pipeline in your back yard? Anyhow, Global Warming is a happening. We must figure out a way to reduce carbon emmissions.
Don't get who you're responding to. I don't own a car and never have.
