We could kick everyone out of D.C., hold a draft, then an election. Being a senator, for example, would be like jury duty for a specified time. We could then bring in government experts from schools to help these people through the process. We just need to eliminate the corporate/government relationships that have formed over the years. In doing this, we could actually have a chance to fix many of the issues people are protesting due to the fact that there wouldn't be some politicians agenda getting in the way.
Well, I'm not sure this is entirely practical. But I think you are on the right track with eliminating corp/government relationships.
How about we change the political process by taking all of the money out? 1% buys their representation in our governenment, thus corrupting the process, and the 99% are left with the scraps. I believe that we should end the monied influence in government by establishing publicly funded campaigns. I believe many of our problems lie in the fact that 99% of our voices are not heard by our government who is beholden to the money and influence that pay for their elections. I belive we need to get our democracy back.
So, is this type of attitude the norm here?? How about other suggestions?
Wow, this one is pretty bright. Hey Hoov,,, best to delete your post...
After their terms are over we could still revert back to elections as we know it, but future politicians would have know that we could "flush the toilet" at any time.
