I am no fan of the language about "Tax the rich." Not only is it likely to keep the rich from being our friends but, it won't solve the problem. Sure, we need to add some taxes now but the only reason to tax the rich is that they can afford it. Rich people and their actions are not the source of our problems.
A MORE POSITIVE EMPHASIS that gets closer to the root of the problem, I think, would be to focus on the two things that could change to stop the dictatorship of the corporations: CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM and CORPORATE PERSONHOOD.
Addressing these is a positive direction. Not hating on groups that have more. Not just complaining about the state of the world. If we could reform these two things, balance would return because the 99% would have as much power as anyone rather than being overwhelmed by corporate money.
Campaign finance reform would require a constitutional ammendment that makes clear that SPEECH DOES NOT EQUAL MONEY and would make clear that you cannot spend unlimited money on political influence.
RECINDING CORPORATE PERSONHOOD would put us back in the position to regulate corporations to better fulfill their original purpose. Corporations are here to allow people to work together to achieve good things for the world. Their PRIMARY MISSION in life should be to ACCOMPLISH GOOD THINGS FOR CITIZENS.
I don't think your going far enough the money = free speech thing has only come up in recent years the problem goes back farther we need regulations that outlaw: special interest groups, lobbyists, and any other group that clams to speak for people from giving campaigns any money. We elect individuals ourselves in elections that are supposed to speak for people. If we truly tackle Campaign finance reform all other goals would be easier to reach because our law makes would be working for the people and not for special interests
Unfortunately the concept of "corporate personhood" isn't a bill that we can repeal or rescind.
It is based on judicial findings of many disparate cases over many years. The basis for the SCOTUS argument lies in the constitution and so can not be legislated away so easily.
Tax the rich makes it sound like we are asking the rich to pay our way. What we should say is EQUAL TAXATION FOR ALL. That way everyone is pulling their fair share.
These are good goals, but address the systemic nature of the problem. Many more people will come to your side when you are proactive (for “new” Business & Government solutions), instead of reactive (against “old” Business & Government solutions), which is why what we most immediately need is a comprehensive “new” strategy that implements all our various socioeconomic demands at the same time, regardless of party, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves; that is, using a Focused Direct Democracy organized according to our current Occupations & Generations. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategically Weighted Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

because we need 100,000 “support clicks” at AmericansElect.org to support a Presidential Candidate -- such as any given political opportunist you'd like to draft -- in support of the above bank-focused platform.
Most importantly, remember, as cited in the first link, that as Bank Owner-Voters in your 1 of 48 "new" Business Investment Groups (or "new" Congressional Committees) you become the "new" Congress replacing the "old" Congress according to your current Occupation & Generation, called a Focused Direct Democracy.
Therefore, any Candidate (or Leader) therein, regardless of party, is a straw man, a puppet; it's the STRATEGY – the sequence of steps – that the people organize themselves under, in Military Internet Formation of their Individual Purchasing & Group Investment Power, that's important. In this, sequence is key.
Why? Because there are Natural Social Laws – in mathematical sequence – that are just like Natural Physical Laws, such as the Law of Gravity. You must follow those Natural Social Laws or the result will be Injustice, War, etc.
The FIRST step in Natural Social Law is to CONTROL the Banks as Bank Owner-Voters. If you do not, you will inevitably be UNJUSTLY EXPLOITED by the Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government who have a Legitimate Profit Motive, just like you, to do so.
Consequently, you have no choice but to become Candidates (or Leaders) yourselves as Bank Owner-Voters according to your current Occupation & Generation.
So please JOIN the 2nd link so we can make our support clicks at AmericansElect.org when called for, at exactly the right time, by an e-mail from that group, in support of the above the bank-focused platform. If so, then you will see and feel how your goals can be accomplished within the above strategy as a “new” Candidate (or Leader) of your current Occupation & Generation.
