and if you don't know why you must be a politician
Should we not include non-corporate lobbyists and other special interest groups? How about the end to all influence from large well funded groups that attempt to lobby congress for favors?
One Common Interest: End Corporate Lobbyists from there all these other issues can be raised, debated, and voted on based on our representative government weighted one vote per one citizen. Corporate lobbyists serve the interests of perhaps 1 in 1,000 of us. with those numbers I can imagine an end to the practice. One issue, one focus nearly all of us will agree on that will open the door to all the other issues being negotiated with our common interest in the forefront. I think the next step in this process is for a single potent idea with broad support to emerge. agree? have another idea you think will do the job?
let's Give Democracy a Chance
Why don't we just choose that policy and when the media asks us what we're about, we'll be unified in our response.
That'll get at least something done.
You hit it on the head - campaign finance reform should be the main goal of these protest. It is not flashy as some subjects are, but if it is not achieved any reforms that are made will just be slowly undone by the special interests and their lobbyists.
