Forum Post: Cop did not kill OWS dog

A story has begun to circulate on the internet about a cop shooting a dog belonging to an OWS protester. IT IS FALSE. People trying to "support" OWS are going to outrageous lengths to do it-and when people find out the truth, they respect the movement even less. PLEASE fact check everything you read YOURSELF before passing it on as "the truth".

The dog was killed LAST YEAR (Sept 2010) in Washington D.C. after attacking another dog and threatening another person along with the cop.

Please note that Parrot killed last year in DC did not "attack" another dog - there was no injury to the poodle or bichone who in fact instigated the whole thing by snipping at Parrot as he walked by, nor did Parrot attack a person. Please make sure you have checked your facts before making comments on this as well. You could have just left it at your last sentence and your link...please do not contribute to the hype which is "excusing" police brutality and excessive force against countless animals.

They are the 99% too!

Yes, Parrot did attack another dog AND the cop.

"Aaron Block, 25, of Dupont Circle said he was walking his 2-year-old Shar-Pei mix, Parrot, up 18th Street when the dog suddenly turned around and bit a poodle that was passing by."

The OWNER of Parrot said that.

I also did NOT say that Parrot attacked a person. I said he THREATENED another person.

My entire point here is that the rumor began circulating that this dog belonged to an OWS protestor and was a recent event. It is not.
