Forum Post: Constitutional Amendment to Ban Corporations From Politics

Hi; Has anyone seriously considered sponsoring an amendment to the constitution banning corporations and their K-street cronies from politics? If so, please direct me to them as I think that is what needs to be done in order to make real change in America.
Sen. Tom Udall just introduced such an amendment:

This would likely take the form:
"Corporations and other creatures of statute are not entitled to free speech or freedom of the press." The problem would be getting this to do so without taking out Unions and any other organization.
The CEO and the Board of Directors decide the politics of the company. Target them.
True. There was a proposed amendment to Frank-Dodd that called for all political activities of the corporation to be made public and subject to approval by shareholders. It was shot down quickly in Congress. Funny that.
Get a list of those who voted. Publish the list now and in the appropriate districts at Primary Time.
