I hate to rain on good news, but, this could be because the United Nations is chomping at the bit to become the global internet police and are putting together a meeting in Dubai as we speak to start the talks for the internet grab.

I'm pretty sure national security interests will trump this issue. If the UN wants an internet to control, they can feel free to build their own. I'm also not paying one damn fee to a foreign entity or country.
