Wow Dianne Sawyer I just tuned in to World News tonight to get off the net for a while and see what the good ol'boy networks are reporting on these days. Figuring I would be utterly disappointed imagine my surprise to find you reporting on such hard hitting news as "Millions of Americans look across the horizon to see what the weather will be doing in your town tomorrow morning" Almost as hard hitting as when my co-workers discussed it at the water cooler for the last 8 hours of my day - amazing World News Tonight Brava!!! Even in the age of weather.com World News still has the courage to reach out and report that story again in its own voice!

Just when I though it could not get any better they reached even higher and hit it even harder going out of their way to report on what to do in the event we are drowning in the car and hit a flash flood, because you just never know when that could happen to you - Thanks from the bottom of my heart for that public service announcement.

And last but not least a team of short basketball players showing much strength against their rivals - breathtakingly award winning stuff here is all I can say.

World News you helped me forget about everything that's going on in the world and my fucked up government, and the fiscal cliff and the stock market crash... yes I'm not too sure about what's going on with any of that stuff now, but I do know how to escape my vehicle in case I drive my car into a lake: which if this is our country and free press now - we might all want to consider doing.

I like your post and request a post recap each night. then we will know to turn on for something of substance.

good points about news being mostly drivel or fluff, and polls of uniformed citizenry feelings on issues, that won't matter because congress overall doesn't care what we want.

I wish they would say about things we have learned about here like:

http://occupywallst.org/forum/what-would-a-new-constitution-say/

I like the way you said all that with humor, but in all seriousness

they're already on second poll about married people, what they do, who they should marry, and that's just local news

Good post. I watched, "World News", that night expecting to see a story about Cyprus and their banks.

No mention of it at all.

What about that secret revision of court rules that was enabled/hidden by that paper in Santa Barbara who fired/gagged reporters resigning because a citizen figured out how to treat the unconscious mind directly? It seems the paper was actually purchased to stop local events from being known.

Gee, just think how hard it would be to have zombie mass shooters if we could treat the unconscious mind.

Comcast only provides this and cspan if you pay for the 200 per month package

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

Just for an idea what MSNBC does, check it out in that weekday timeframe..

well bens dad that's above my budget (do you pay more for cable than gas or electric?) might want to keep an eye on that - when it all goes digital on the expanded RF nano-spectrum - you still going to pay that monopoly whatever they want even when they aren't doing a thing to bring you information dictated by the corporate media - you know Comcast owns MSNBC now right? Shouldn't internet be in the public domain like libraries (it is a virtual library of information right? - How about taking some money from Black Water or Haliburton and putting something back into the public trust ?

"How about taking some money from Black Water or Haliburton and putting something back into the public trust ?"
I'm in favor of a no-deductions minimum corporate tax at least 20%

if you love haliburton as much as I do:

MSNBC isn't real news any more than FOX is

Did you know that a man is on trial now, accused of killing seven newborns? It's been going on all month. Have you heard about it in any press? Women tied up and drugged and almost perishing fom malpractice. STD infected instruments. Casey Anthony grips the nation but this is ignored. I don't get it.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I find that hard to believe.

MSM - if it bleeds it leads.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Haven't looked at the links - but looking at the description on the links - makes it look even stranger that MSM would not be having a carnival over the story.

[-] -2 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

Totally. It's the NY Post's bread and butter. Last year they had a pic of a guy about to be run over by a train on the front page, so it's not like they shy away from the horrid. And god knows they aren't into protecting abortion doctors. I'm at a loss.

Is it repub.............. I Mean ........ CorpoRATist involved???

[-] 0 points by justiceforzim (-17) 11 years ago

They don't want to be seen as waging a war on women with abortion horror stories.

Hell, our Peace Prize Prez voted AGAINST a law proposed in Illinois to save babies aborted alive. They just stick em in a small room til they die of starvation and he was good with that.

They sure do their best to make him sound like the devil.

http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/04/why-dr-kermit-gosnells-trial-should-be-a-front-page-story/274944/

I'm as pro choice as the next guy (unless, of course, I'm standing next to Dr Grosnell) but this thing is crazy. All of those self righteous "journalists" who were so pissed off at Woodward are just pretending that this isn't happening.

There really are short basketballers?

And here I was thinking that was a Harlem Globetrotter myth.

Thanks World Nooz.

[-] 1 points by elf3 (4203) 11 years ago

I know I know - my life is complete now that I have this information - it is no myth!! I am ready now, I can drive my car into the lake!
