Forum Post: Conducting online financial transactions freely and without banks?

Have you ever considered what it would be like if we could do all our online transactions not by means of banks but by means of some other service that would be extremely safe and would allow us to trade any kind of goods or services possible? Have you ever heard of the idea called OpenTransactions? I've come across it recently and it seems extremely revolutionary when considering online trade.
