I just signed up as some of my friends have been discussing the OccupyWallStreet movement on a message board. Most of us support your ideals but wonder what concrete, actionable goals you have. We have a couple ideas ourselves, and maybe you already have the resources we need to make them happen.

1) Moving assets off Wall Street: there is nothing better than yanking your money out of their hands. The question is, to where? While our hands are tied with 401k's from our current employers, some of us have mutual funds and rolled over 401k's that we are free to move to a more ethical broker. DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF SUGGESTED BROKERS/COMPANIES TO REMOVE MONEY FROM WALL STREET TO?

2) A friend brought up that there are companies with written policies in place to limit the growth of executive income relative to the rest of workers. We should encourage these companies! DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF COMPANIES THAT LIMIT GROWTH OF EXECUTIVE INCOME?

Thank you!

Those are well and good and might happen. I want to know what CONCRETE thing I can do RIGHT NOW that would have an affect that Wall Street would notice. I am part of the 99% so removing just my funds isn't going to make a dent, but as my friends join in, and we try to get it to go viral, it will make a difference.

I am hoping that someone with OWS has done the homework already. That would be a service to those that think like I do.

My concrete and actionable goal is to end the monied corruption in our government by establishing publicly funded campaigns and elections. 1% buys their representation, 99% are left with the scraps.

If you haven't checked this out:

I also have suggested such a list, maybe you could post a request there?

Cheers!
