Forum Post: Community Service Scholarships and Grants

If enough scholarships and grants were available for every student for performing community service; performed in high school, during college and after completion of college, would you do it? How much community service would you perform for a college education? I want to write letters to the president and congress encouraging them to make these opportunities available, as well as CEOs of corporations to provide scholarships. I don't agree with a free education, because I think everyone needs to do something to give back if society "gives" to them. I think there should be opportunities like this for EVERY student, not just a few scholarship and GI bills. Please let me know your thoughts!!!
