If this is a financial war, can we fight it financially? There are conscientious objectors in war-time, could we not be objectors to paying our taxes? As far as I know, there was no income tax before 1920 or so and it was only put in place to help fund the government after their take from the alcohol industry 'dried up'. So, if we can all decide to claim the max on our taxes, not paying what's asked when the bill comes due, as a protest against current policy, what are the repercussions? The trick, of course, is that one cannot do it if a majority do not do it. Some, it won't even benefit, but it gives us leverage. Thoughts?
Would like an answer to this, am not a constitutional or legal genius. Anybody? Hello?
