Forum Post: Cheap Creative Ideas to Unify our voice & grab us some 99%

First off. I am so proud to be a part of the 99%. Keep it up my brothers & sisters. Idea #1) Large lettered signs that spell out a message. 6 ft long (E) as in END THE FED. Get many people to hold up said letters. 2) Singing Songs (Revolution, Lean On Me, Times They are a Changin, WAR or anything fun) ...side note... we have been accused of not presenting a unified message, what better way to bring people into understanding how united we all are. How do you organize this...duh FB. We just need to get on the same page more. The chant thing does some good, however, it loses steam a lot because frankly it hurts the vocal cords (no stamina), Also beyond being angry we need to project our hope and positivity. That more than anything will draw people in. Think of how songs unify people so easily. Also, the problem with chants are many people are not comfortable vocalizing anger. Obviously, how else do we explain what has been going on for too damn long. It's been easier up until now to crawl into apathy rather than being proactive. Thank god we're awakening. Anyways, let's unify through creativity. We don't all have to do the exact same thing, but enough of us need to coalesce our creative ideas to show the world that this communication is 4 REAL. Love you all. LET'S DO THIS!!!
We need to think beyond the occupations. Winter is coming and we need to plan other events before our numbers at the occupations thin out too much.
I suggest holding events that can be handled indoors. Getting speakers like local professors to talk about run-off voting or the history of the Fed. Grab some conservatives with a local reading of the Constitution.
Send out press releases to local radio shows or see if you can get interviews.
We need to be planning past the occupations.
I agree, we need to saturate the internet with a precise, logical, intelligently-delivered message. I think we should also take to YouTube and put individual faces to our message by making personalized videos explaining our views and goals so that we won't be dehumanized and marginalized so easily.
I have two up. One was a video about fixing politics that I made before hearing about OWS, the other is fairly recent about the goals I think we should embrace.
