I've been fighting with Chase bank since March 27th 2011 about a fraudulent charge a merchant posted to my account. Chase says that if you've used a merchant in the past then it's Chases' policy that they cannot commit fraud. So by that logic or lack there of, if you've used a company before and later they bill you without you using the service that's not fraud. This is exactly what happened to me. I recorded the conversations, legally, between myself and several representatives saying its not fraud and that they will not be looking into it.

Anyone out there able to help me expose Chase bank and their corporate greed? I can provide recordings.

Background Story - In March my wife used a limo service for her birthday and to attend an event. My wife booked it with the limo service we previously used and was told it would be the rate we always paid. So the service was used for a few hours March 26th and a few on the 27th. Odd thing was that normally when we used there service in the past at the end of the night you sign off on the charges and add in gratuity for the driver. That didn't happen this time so we didn't receive a receipt, neither was any charges signed for. I looked at the credit card statement and there was 3 charges, 2 were for the service we actually used (the use on 2 different days) and in-line with what it cost us previously. The 3rd charge of $924 was never authorized. I tried reaching out to the merchant and they wouldn't return our calls. So I called Chase and filed a dispute. After a few months in June Chase found that the charge was invalid and unsupported. They refunded me the $924 and here's where it gets interesting.

One week later a charge shows up on my card from the merchant for $624. I immediately called Chase and filed a fraud claim since I didn't use the service in June, nor did I ever authorize a charge for $624. I had my card number changed and everything. That's when Chase starts telling me this isn't fraud, etc, etc. After a few months of fighting Chase comes up with a story that the $624 was a re-bill and that the merchant disputed Chases decision and that falsely said I agreed to pay $624. I continue to fight with Chase bank telling them I never agreed to pay $924 nor $624. I had already paid for the service I did use and this charge was an additional fraudulent charge that I never authorized. Chases' representatives said they are not going to look into it and they stand by their findings despite not understand that I already paid for the service.
