This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Simply print out { http://99pie.org/img/99pie-letter.pdf } and hang it on your door/window/car/office/etc.

If you support the 99% but can't always be outside assembling with them, let this be a constant reminder to yourself, and those around you of how important this movement is to the future of our country!

Good idea! Cheap and effective. But I think the letters need to be bigger. Some of our homes sit back a little further from the sidewalk than others. I for one, would have trouble reading that from say 50 feet away. What about having 'We are the' across the top of the sheet, same size pie just below that, then '99%' below the pie, maybe letters three or four times bigger than they are. Something like that?

I like the idea. The thing is, my neighbors know I'm a little edgy . . . . and they are nice folk, I don't want to scare them.

But I've been pretty active with writing, sending and posting stuff. I even went so far as to sign up for twitter so I can tweet:

Corporations Do Not Have Tongues!!

@Zen_Dog_99

And that was a pain too - I'm on dial-up, I can't post my pic even tho it's under 50 k. But I've been tweeting . . .

If you click to my profile I've a list of urls to the things I've written and posted here - and that includes a letter to 60 Minutes I sent just this morning.

Edgy. Hehe. I think this display shouldn't mean anything other than the fact that you agree with the principals of the 99% Hanging this up shouldn't classify as anyone other than an idealist. I guess my point is that I agree that some may hesitate to hang this up because of public opinion, however isn't that exactly who we want to see this, the public? My hope is that if everyone starts saying "Yes, I support the 99%," by hanging this simple image up, then it will rally support for the movement in the public eye.

I do not support a group that their goal is to destroy their own nation

[-] 1 points by barb (835) 13 years ago

But yet you support a government that is destroying our nation.

[-] 0 points by ikki5 (61) 13 years ago

if you get what you want, you'd destroy it faster than the government. But you don't like what you don't understand. At least the government is attempting to solve the issue but your pampered ass doesn't like that

[-] 1 points by barb (835) 13 years ago

Oh yes, they are attempting to solve the issue like signing another NAFTA agreement with the Asia-Pacific region so more jobs can leave this country. Please stop being so ignorant.

you do realized what NAFTA is right? NAFTA allows free trade which is what keeps your economy going if you didn't have it, you'd have very few trade partners, your economy will be worthless and you'll be another third world country

[-] 1 points by divineright (664) 13 years ago

Either can I. That's why regardless of what you think of OWS you have to support drastic change (before the rest of the country is sold out). If you have better ideas, share them. Work towards your goals and make them happen.

[-] 0 points by ikki5 (61) 13 years ago

you want some better ideas? don't abide by a lot of the "call to arms" on this by going out and destroying those who keep the economy going and who employ your 99%. Don't destroy business by boycotting them, you are only going to destroy yourselves.

Employment is not the only issue. It's the fact that the businesses are using their leverage to erode our basic Constitutional rights and sell our country out from under us. I just want to see it stop while there is still something left. If you have ideas to combat the corruption, promote labor rights and heal our desecrated Constitution, let's hear them. Pointing out things aren't perfect is one thing (and this goes for all sides), but it is far from a solution.
