Perhaps the time has come to transition our local movements into efforts to create state-based assemblies to reform our federal constitution? I say state-based because that's the only legal way to change the constitution. We could start small, based on local movements declaring themselves people's congresses and beginning a debate on what we want to add and delete from the current constitution through an ammendment process and a parallel option for a new constitution. City-based congresses could share ideas with each other and meld into state assemblies coordinated nationally to amend the current constitution or write a new one without the "help" of the current Congress.. Both approaches are provided for in our current federal constitution.
Respectfully, Paul A.
One more. I voted for my senator and I want his vote to count. If his vote doesn't count then my vote doesn't count. If his/my vote is in the minority then the majority prevails but my/his vote counted. If his/my vote is in the majority then my view prevails - that's democracy.
But, if he isn't allowed to vote until a super majority says it's ok then the Plutarch's rule us just like we were 10th century slaves. Screw us all they want and tell us it's our own fault or worse, God's Will.
I want my vote to count. I want American DEMOCRACY back. Join us
