Forum Post: Can we hear from those who've been occupying for a month?

I'm just curious -- for those who have been on the street for the past month, what do you do for a living? Do you have a job? If so, how has your employer been at supporting your decision to be away from your job for so long? If you don't, is this by choice? How are you being supported during your occupation? Do you live at home with parents or do you pay rent somewhere? How's your landlord handled that? Are you homeless now as a result of your decision to occupy?

What you ar doing requires a major life commitment, and I cannot do it myself because of my family responsibilities and the responsibilities I have to my business and employees -- but I was just curious how OWS has changed your life.

It is ridiculous to suggest bribe reform.

For 3 decades they keep claiming to do this and all you people can't catch on to the bribes.

Only public funding with no ads from anybody (an obvious bribe) will prevent bribes.

The OWS ignoring bribery proves they are in the same deep trance as the rest of Americans.

Bribe reform? What the H?

American trade policy needs to be controlled by the 13th Amendment that abolished slavery. Michael Moore is either poorly informed or he's a shill for the corporations. Its time for Michael Moore to tell the truth or be exposed as a fraud. http://overthecoals.blogspot.com/

Bribe reform? I assume this was posted to the wrong thread? Incidentally, I love your music! :) (especially "Take the Money and Run")

You're lucky you have a job for the moment.

This is a bottomless pit. You have no clue. You are in a deep trance.

I'm a small business owner who has increased sales even during this economic downturn (including hiring 12 people since 2008). It's not luck or magic. I've worked my ass off to smartly grow my business. Fly Like an Eagle is another of your tunes I love to sit back and listen to BTW.

Keep patting yourself on the back. When the entire economy crashes, you will be shit out of luck.

You talk like all the 50,000,000 put out of work by the multinational move to China are lazy creeps sitting in the park.

You infer a lot of wrongness and nothingness out of what I stated. My questions are genuine and sincere. I was put out of work in 1997 due to the outsourcing of my job to India when I worked for Dell. I am fully aware of the problems outsourcing presents and the effects that trade tariffs and currency manipulation have on our ability to sustain any long-term growth. When the entire economy crashes, I will stay home, minding (and protecting) my crops, animals, and land, eating MREs, and laughing at useless tools like you who are so busy bitching and complaining and not doing anything to prepare for your futures (whatever that future is).

Now, if you're not one of those people who have been camping for a month - and cannot contribute to my questions - then move on along... obviously I wasn't talking to you in the first place.

Keep patting yourself on the back. When the economy completely collapses from the slave labor, you'll be looking for a park to camp in too.

No, some of won't be looking for handouts in a camp, even if the economy completely collapses. That, I believe, was his point.

They aren't looking for a hand out. Not one of them asked me for a dime. I've been there 5 times.

They are uninformed. It took them ten years of misery to finally get pissed off.

At no point in time did I ever state or imply they were looking for a handout. I'm curious to know at what level are they sacrificing? I mean, if someone has given up on a job and home in order to support this cause, I'd like to hear from them - to understand that level of commitment -- mainly because those people are the ones who have a genuine vested interest in an outcome they believe in. I don't care to hear from people who are simply out of work and are looking for handouts (yes, there are some of those on the ground too) - but it's not because I think less of them -- I'm just more interested in the genuine occupiers.

The word slave never came out of Michael Moore's mouth while he was saying that the $2.1 trillion that is being held by the corporations is not their money. Its their money they made it from the slave trade just like Americans did to the Africans.

The way all those multinational corporations ripped off the $2.1 trillion is by using slave labor, but Michael Moore refuses to use "SLAVE" during his appearances on TV. Michael Moore may mean well but he's covering up the truth. What's his purpose for covering up the Bush conspiracy for rigging the explosives in the WTC? Covering up the WTC because Michael Moore doesn't want to believe the unmistakable evidence.

It doesn't matter what Michael Moore wants. He should want to choose the truth of what actually happened to collapse all 3 buildings. America isn't a nursery school for fairy tales. Americans have been put into a deep trance. Americans make fun of the Muslims who will get 72 virgins in heaven. It is far more stupid and crazy to want to cover up the simple evidence that I have to prove probable cause. http://overthecoals.blogspot.com/
