I am trying to write an ethnography about the movement but I need some members to answer some questions. Can you help me out and answer a few or all of them? I would greatly appreciate it.
What is the situation like on the ground? What does an average day look like on the plaza?
What are some of the insider terms and lingo?
Do you consider the movement a unique culture?
What is it that you wish people to know about the movement?
What reasons led you to become a part of the movement?
Jim Tankersley writes, "Occupy Wall Street is a movement rooted in the idea that the act of crying out, together, is more important than the grievances of the criers." and he says that for the protesters its more about being heard than seeing change happen. Do you agree?
Is there anything you would like others to know about the movement that I didn't ask?
I support you guys and I'm trying to get this paper done with the truth in mind, yet so far I can't find anyone to answer. Help me out!
Since very few people on this forum have ever actually been to an occupation anywhere, it would make a lot more sense for you to go to the occupation nearest to you and experience it for yourself.
