Woot.com has a 24-pack of glowsticks for $2.99 + $5 shipping. You can buy up to 3 packs and the shipping remains at $5.
I'm not trying to promote Woot here, and I have absolutely no personal or professional affiliation with them.
I just think this would be a cool idea. It would make for some good press photos, to show the numbers of people in a different light -- a sea of glowsticks at night.
I also realize many will say there are better things to spend money on right now -- I don't think novelty should be the focus, but it would be a nice extra. By all means keep donating food and other essentials too.
