A good friend of mine and an Oakland business owner told me he and others like him are getting ready to file lawsuits against Occupy organizers for damages and loss of business. They're hope is that business owners in other cities will follow.

I don't understand how they can sue people they don't know or that don't have an official legal entity?

What a waste of time and money.....you can't squeeze a single penny out of those people. They are already ASKING YOU for donations. They are protesting BECAUSE they are BROKE! Get your business owners together and form a protest of your own. Perhaps you could enlist them (hippies) in your own local cause. Direct those hippies to the nearest city council meeting. Let them ask Jerry Brown about his pensions ssss (plural) Those poor kids, they just need a good direction ..,,.. they don't know which way to go. But I don't think you'll get anywhere suing them. They don't have any money.

As they are all legal adults, you can't get money from the parents in a lawsuit.

a lot of them are underage teens. The ones that are adults can get a lean against any future earnings. It will be on their record for a very long time.

May not be a waste of time, if they ask for an injunction to keep the protestors away from their properties for 1000 yards. If many businesses did that, the law would be happy to arrest them. More evidence that the protesters need to go to Washington and make their presence felt directly on the corrupt oligarchs.

I would love to get a tax reimbursement for your occupancy.
