A vast majority of wealth in this country was created by means of LAND GRANTS in the Homestead Act, that was revoked in the 1980s. Since that time, Real Estate has become a "limited resource" to be jacked up against the majority of people. The "American Dream" consists largely of building ones own wealth, with the goal of having a decent home and a means of survival. Homesteading fulfilled this purpose. THIS should be a top priority for the 99%!
Adverse Possession is part of Homesteading, except in many states the 21 year waiting period is ridiculous and serves only to create an artificial shortage of homes, to keep real estate prices high. If a property is abandoned, it should be allowed to revert to people willing to make a useful homestead of it. This provides both tax payers and useful wealth creation on otherwise useless wasted property.
Occupy the foreclosures and the empties. For the first time in my life 'they' have really miffed one. They caused the collapse of the very commodity that determines their power. They more conveniently provided the moral justification to reclaim that property. When people realize natural rights they will be able to build unhindered. Create your counter-cultures/economies/societies freely- then defend your home.
