This is amazing. Huge. Here is the news story and the video of NSA whistleblower being interviewed by the Guardian in Hong Kong: http://m.guardiannews.com/world/2013/jun/09/edward-snowden-nsa-whistleblower-surveillance
PS - The National Security Agency pushed for the government to “rethink” the Fourth Amendment when it argued in a classified memo that it needed new authorities and capabilities for the information age. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/06/nsa-memo-4th-amendment-92416.html
Possibly Snowden's most important comment regarding his whistle blowing.
"The primary lesson from this experience was that "you can't wait around for someone else to act. I had been looking for leaders, but I realised that leadership is about being the first to act."
Regarding Edward Snowden, TPTB had better understand, the World is aware and watching.
True - but seriously - I don't think that to "them in their insanity" that we even exist.
True, but let us not forget TPTB own the world( Banks, govt, press, courts, etc.) They will make sure the story the world will be watching is their's.
Edward Snowden's leak has certainly started a very healthy discussion.
It is interesting that he chose to hide in Hong Kong which is now a part of China with independent administrative power. Hong Kong must have come a long way from its British colonial past to be selected as a refuge locale. Perhaps the policies of China had something to do with that transformation of Hong Kong to become more politically independent-minded.
Best wishes to Edward Snowden's quest to gain political asylum in Iceland.
I hope he achieves asylum in Iceland.
Yes, it is not very populous but its people has certainly retained that gutsy Viking courage from olden times.
A must see interview! Snowden definitely has got balls.
Amazing courage. And he's not blasé about it either. You can tell from his expression, deep breaths and swallowing during interview that he is fully aware of the danger in which he's just put himself. But he's level-headed enough to weigh the positives and negatives and say it's definitely worth it. Intelligent. Articulate. I think the more people who see the actual video, the more difficult it will be for authorities to destroy his credibility. We need that video out there everywhere. His sincerity and motives are clear.
