I think I might be sold on this one, what do you think?
Dan Savage's summer blog on this is pretty convincing. The Russian treatment of LGBTQ people is pretty appalling.
never cared for alcohol would've have posted sooner but got cut by the two minute timer

Russia is the US's little brother sell 18% of all international arms
just under half of the US 39% share of the international weapons market
and well ahead of the pack
I think this is great.
The problem is that I don't have a problem with this. I've been boycotting vodka for years. And tequila for over 20 years. And scotch. And almost all rum. Although, I have boycotted that for almost a year. And gin for a year and a half. Bourbon and brandy I cook with. I haven't had a shot of Crown Royal in 6 years-maybe longer. I absolutely boycott whiskey every chance I get.
So, it's do-able. Count me in.
But, somehow............I'm not feeling the big challenge here.
Maybe I can boycott Lukoil?
Yep - I hope it catches on.
A Whole World of possibilities - for worthy boycotts.
I'm also down with boycotting borshch.
:D
Yanno, just in case we need to go there.

In most of these countries, it is made with beetroot as the main ingredient,[2][3] giving it a deep reddish-purple color. In some countries, tomato is used as the main ingredient, while beetroot acts as a secondary ingredient. Other, non-beet varieties also exist, such as the tomato paste-based orange borscht and green borscht (sorrel soup)[cita
