Buying or planning to buy a new car?

Buy only a true Hybrid ( gas/electric ) not a bio-fuel user unless it is a bio/electric.

Don't buy anything that is not moving us away from fossil fuel or bio fuel dependency. Bio fuel is not truly green energy. Both fuel types pollute.

E-mail your manufacturer of choice or e-mail every manufacturer and let them know why you are not buying one of their inefficient new cars. Copy your e-mail to the government.

Has anyone even heard of a gas/electric truck yet?

Also if a gas/electric hybrid can not give you 50 mpg in the city or in rush our traffic it is not a very good hybrid. Why ? You might ask. Well if you stop to think about it. Why should a gas/electric vehicle even need part of it's motive power to come from a gas engine? Why can't it run totally on the electric motor? All the gas engine should need to do is run a generator to supply the electricity to the motor and to the storage cells, then only running when the batteries need charging. It should also be able to plug into a standard outlet to keep the batteries topped off when not in use. With a single cylinder gas powered generator running only when needed don't you think that you could probably drive around the united states for quite awhile on 10 gallons of gas? Now think about that in terms of cost savings for small business, savings for emergency response personnel (you know Fire departments, Police departments, military ) savings for education ( school buses ) savings for public transportation ( buses and light rail). Talk about the possibility of wide ranging cost savings and the immediate ability to pump money back into things that need it, like upgrading education and the ability to hire more teachers, police, & firemen, etc..

The only thing holding us back is ourselves.

It is true, we vote with our dollars...We hate to see jobs leaving this country...but... chinese products are soooo cheap........

another example...

Do we like mountains in WVa.(where the coal is) or do we want our street lights on?....

To the second example.

Why should we need coal to power our street lights or anything else? For the short term as in anything else, OK. But lets get going on hydrogen as well.

The devil himself created gasoline and fossil fuels.
