A great idea we can all participate in right now. BoA - Citi Group - Wells Fargo - Morgan Stanley - Goldman Sachs...any "too big to fail" national institution...withdraw now. In all communities there are local banks and credit unions that would love to earn your business. I did this five years ago and have never been sorry. A run on deposits - $500 - $1000 at a time will add up. All these greedy institutions understand is money. Withdraw yours!

This idea has teeth! Let's take a bite out of crime - CRUSH THE BANKS this week - THRUS. 10.13 BofA gets run out of town! CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS THIS WEEK

"Get the money out of politics"

Seriously, why is this not being used as the central message?

This is the central message - the banks and politicians are fat and sloppy bedmates.

Amen, brother.

Put your money in credit unions, they don't nickle and dime you with fees, minimum balances, etc.

We can start with Bank of America, one of the WORST offenders and their corrupt mortgage practices, foreclosure processes and bank fees - B of A needs to go.

JP Morgan is very corrupt in their world-wide market manipulation.

Goldman Sachs and their corruption of practices set up trying to eliminate policies set up to protect consumers and favors FAT CAT banks and hedge fund managers - look up Robert Rubin

Don't forget that Merrill Lynch is a BofA business - move your investments to an independent broker. Shut BofA down! RUN ON THE BANKS THIS WEEK: this is an ACTIONABLE IDEA - the world is waiting to see what the hell we're doing - now we have something to do!

True; even more so if we acted together and began by identifying and publicizing just one or two businesses (big corporations) that are especially bad for our nation and its people. Now If we as consumers made decisions to distance ourselves from a limited number of greedy operations then our efforts would be focused and thus maximized in terms of impact. Causing the dramatic downturn of just one identified fortune 500 corporation could have an amazing affect that would certainly have the power to make stockholders of other firms to sit up and take note of our movement and yield to its powerful and refreshing new edicts.

Use the force and profile of our numbers to stand in line and close their BofA accounts - stand in solidarity and ask the teller, "tell me why you were sued again?"

well this idea doesnt even require politicians... someone just needs to compile the data in a comprehensible and reliable manner. puts finger on nose not it!

most people in the 99% don't realize the power they have. If everyone in the 99% investigated the corrupt banks and simply began to withdraw the funds from those banks and invest in community banks as well as begin to stop buying goods from corrupt companies - the power base would shift very quickly. the 99% can have a huge effect - Wall Street is one of the biggest scams!
