Congratulations and Thankz to all of you out in the streets, albiet officers of the law or OWSer...thank you for all doing your job! For those of you who are turning your job into violence, you are playing into our hands SO thank you as well!

With that said I wanted to take a second and look to confront the issue of the "lack of direction" that this movement has and take in opinions if people are willing to offer thoughts on short/mid/long term goals. I think this can help all of us involved to have a blanket set of answers to this ridiculous question that is mildly swaying some people I know

Narrowed goals, this or that achievement, specific direction are all not a priority for the movement? Yes they are there, but in my opinion...

We are here to OCCUPY...I personally hope this feeling/movement never fades again...all citizens need to OCCUPY and begin to reassure the people that OCCUPY is here to bring everlasting change, not just campaign reform, or military transgression or whatever else specific you can name.

I see this movement as the beginnings of the creation of a true federation in this country, one that actually looks for the voice of its people and upon hearing this voice turns it into action.

To think that "we will get what we want" forgoes the fact that wanting a better world is an everlasting job and opportunity. Does the Earth ever stop functionign for itself, so we must also be as determined as the Earth.

For those of us who are "jobless" or working dead end jobs that depress us or are just moved by the feeling, taste, and thoughts of change...JOIN THIS MOVEMENT!!!

OCCUPY FOR LIFE!!!

So when someone asks..."Hey, can some people help me out with my confusion? The "Occupy" movement is about the "99%" who are being robbed by the corrupted government, and the rich "1%" of the U.S. population - correct? What are they expecting to achieve exactly?" LOOKING FOR UNIFIED ANSWERS!

Nicely put. To me, Occupy is like reclaiming power that is rightfully ours, meaning the peoples. That is almost in essence what this movement means to me.

I agree...BUT I want to start to hear that this is power that is not planned to be given back...B/C that is what I fear most for this movment, and ACTUAL ACHIEVEMENT. I see getting a demand met or success as the number one proponent to the demise of this movement, where all of a sudden we feel we have gotten somewhere and therefore are good to take tomorrow off.

This is just my feeling, but i think it may go a lot deeper than that. At least i would like to see it go deeper. The problems we face as a world will not be fixed by changing a law here or there. I'm not a fan of seeing it get too complacent, or getting overly satisfied with something meant to subdue, having them throw us a bone. Nuh uh. Not good enough. Not for me anyways, from my perspective of what Occupy means.

Living in BC you must be rather surrounded by supporters of the movement or is there still a large amount of confusion/ignorance or disdain for the movement?

I'm not in Van, though i am in BC. One of my professors who is one of the best teachers i've ever had is right into it. I try and bring up Occupy in conversations otherwise, with most responding with a fair amount of ambivalence, a 'whatever' kind of attitude so far from some. Others have never heard of it.

There are a few friends who are right into the revolutionary spirit, but aren't necessarily following it as closely as i do, but i know they are down with it, just by knowing them. My one friend was psyched about it actually. I'm hoping it will circulate and sort of settle more into the (local) collective unconscious. Where i am currently, its a small town, but i feel like overall there isn't any hostility towards it, at least from who i've talked to, most people seem open minded about it at least. I can almost feel a general, if vague kind of interest, so that is encouraging.
