I love OWS. the nation does need a revolution!!! please keep going. however, (1) OWS needs to be organized and has a few leaders. (2) stay focused. We have a lot of mess now and we are not able to solve all of them at one shoot. filter the top 3s to be focused. (a) reform or remove Fed. (b) stop tuition increase. it is gettting insane now. (c) break down the marriage between gov and big banks/companies.
I applaud you passion, but feel I should offer a few suggestions about what I think OWS stands for. First, although each of us have certain special issues we would like to see dealt with, as Rick points out, the central aim of the movement is to replace the current economic/political system with one based on active compassion for its victims (us included), and dedicated to a rational distribution of goods and services to all members of the society. If we are successful, the Fed will no longer exist, and university tuitions will become a thing of the past. So, yes!, we need to stay focused--on absolute, real and lasting change. If you think about it, all the serious problems in this country have at their root an insane, unfair and brutal economic system that has distorted and corrupted every ideal we had of our civilization. We must attack at the core of this cancer before it is too late. Thanks for reading.
This is much bigger than a protest. The name to me makes it seem small and focused on very limited objectives and wall street. Our problems go way beyond wall street. We have to think much bigger and reach much higher or we will fail. We need a smart revolution. We need a vision that all of us can come together on. Without a cohesive vision, the movement does seem dysfunctional and unorganized like our government. No one wants more of that.
