As long as we will not have organized labor on our side not much will change, it's time to get in contact with labor unions and together apply pressure on 1%, take example from Europe how to peacefully demand changes. We can learn how to stop whole country for few hours, I am sure -1% will pay attention.

I really hate to say this but:

Effectiveness requires focus and organization. Screaming at the walls of Wall Street is neither.

No wonder that this movement is disorganized, just look at some comments. Some of you may remember, in 80's there was something called Solidarity movement in Poland, it changed face of Europe and helped to end Soviet Empire. It worked because all citizens engaged in one country wide protest with all unions actively backing protesters. Remember this country is broken not only because lack of jobs, Wall Street deregulation or expensive tuition with "loan shark" rates, this country is broken because democracy stopped working in present form, money rules not only Wall Street but every elective office, we need to change only one law to fix majority of problems. Outlaw paid lobbying, our society have been effectively "castrated" by media and politicians, we do not pay attention to real sources of our problems.

"This is not a question of politics, of right or wrong. This is a question of intelligence. We must be smart. We enjoy popular support, for now. But to preserve America's good will, we must keep our demands narrow: end the corrupting influence of money in politics. That is something a majority of Americans can get behind. That is something a social movement can achieve. And then, and only then, can the other issues be successfully pursued." - theghostofthomasjefferson

Unions can go fuck themselves too.

This has nothing to do with wages.
