Forum Post: Awareness of OWS Movement

Last night I overheard my sister ask my mother, "what is this Occupy Wall Street thing.." I explained to her that the movement is mainly about shedding light on the corruption of the Fed and our 2 party political system that serves corporations, bankers and high level CEO's.
At first I was somewhat taken back by the lack of knowledge my sister displayed regarding the "Fleecing of America" that has become so absurdly blatant in the last few years. And then I realized something, the Occupy Wall Street Movement is making progress ! The mere fact that my sister is asking questions about OWS shows that the movement is gaining momentum. The first step in this movement is to create AWARENESS. This step may actually be the toughest part and will not happen overnight. And the "powers that be" are extremely nervous about this movement gaining steam. Congratulations to all that are occupying various cities and those who have sent money, clothes, food, etc. in support.
I intend to join this movement soon. In the meantime, I will send donations as you "the occupiers" are my voice. To everyone, continue to support and educate those who have fallen victim to the inaccuracies reported by our current media machine. Knowledge is King
