OK I am a credentialed libertarian. I'd say a heavy hitter. Big in my movement, my foot steps carry thunder and lightning. But do you have any idea how BORING we can be?

I mean we are hardly any fun atall. We are piss and vinnegar. We not only have no sense of humor, most of us don't know how to spell it.

So while I might not agree with OWS on everything, who cares? You guys are fun! You are way more inquisitive and open minded than anybody gives you credit for. And hey, a good attitude is worth more than being right sometimes.

To reference Jay and Silent Bob, SMOOTCHIEPOOCHIEWOOTCHIES!

Some of us are pretty boring too, like me. More Spock than Silent Bob I'm afraid.

wow... thanks! and I think we need MORE fun. MORE bongo drums pleez!

also, in response to a despairing post about the 99% going shopping today : ( someone has suggested a public screening of the Charlie Brown Christmas special in Zucotti park. I think this is GENIUS and FUN. and it just HAS to happen. Allez les enfants... allez!

'A good attitude is worth more than being right sometimes'

I like that. Being right AND having a good attitude is even better. And i believe in a very general though not complete, but at heart that Occupy is "right." At least they have the right target and some good ideas and enthusiasm towards changing things for the better.

That is up for debate of course, but nice to see some recognition. I think that Occupy should team up with the Tea Party, and come to some kind of even tenuous agreement. Unite Republicans and Conservatives with the common ground regarding the Corporatacracy.

I donated to the Libertarian Party this time last year because of all the hoopla about the installation of the nakie scanners at the airports.

They were one of the few groups talking about it and organizing against it.

Them, and the ACLU but I donate every year to the ACLU anyway.

"We're here for a good time, not a long time". Too many people are having a hard time and the ones who aren't experiencing really tough times can't avoid hearing and seeing the growing evidence, which is, like, ya know, a real downer. That's why 99% of the people are gazing at the people who we pay to take care of these matters and starting to ask some hard questions. The real fun starts when 99rs roll through congress like a tsunami. OWS is just the earthquake.

Thankfully, we have a good attitude AND we are right :)

I like OWS, but I'm going to need more convincing that we're welcome here. For example, why does R.on Paul get auto-corrected as Ron Lawl? The people running this site clearly don't have any respect for us.

Exactly.

In a world gone mad, we will not spank the monkey, but the monkey will spank us.

What is the function of government if not to provide peace and stability so that crops may be sown and harvested, and therefore the people fed?

What is the function of government if not to provide a repository for the excess of harvest, so that it may be set aside for those years of poor harvest, and therefore avert mass starvation?

I say those who would abolish FEMA, or privatize Social Security, make a mockery of the public, and would subvert the systems of government to make of the people no more than a herd of sheep to be shorn.

They are a laughing stock, unfit for government service, and they have made an investment in social instability.

They will reap all they have sown.
