I love how these local politicians act like they have the solutions when the vast bulk of real power has been consolidated at teh very top federal levels. When the federal policy- or lack thereof- tanks the economy again as it always does, the locals will be scrambling as they always are, desperately looking for solutions with no real power to implement them anyways.

Massive decentralization and put my community's power back in my community's hands please.

Yeah, it's so disgusting to see these liars trying to project themselves as caring, concerned public servants. When the cameras are rolling, they're kissing babies and helping little old ladies across the street. Give me a break! In reality, these sociopaths would throw their mother under the bus for a Koch brother contribution. Keep a bucket close by.

Now we can see these people for who they really are. Toto has pulled the curtain back for all to see the truth in politics/govt. Thanks Toto.

Yes bureaucracy serves to channel corruption. The more channels , the more difficult it is to oversee. The more red tape the people have to fight through to access their rights and government. Red tape is created because for ws red tape is like crossing the street with a helicopter...for average joe it is like crossing the street as a slug. If you hitch yourself to the helicopter then you probably sit on a board or committee. Like Tom Wheeler chair of the FCC for example ...a slug hitching a ride to a helicopter...then pouring salt on the other slugs as he flies overhead.
