A big argument of this protest and similar ones is the big gov baillouts to financial corporations, and the use of that money for stuff like big paychecks to bankers.
That is a big gov interference in the economy, way closer to socialism than to capitalism, and still another big complain is about the capitalism, and that it should be replaced by some kind of socialism.
So what is the reason for your complains?
The reason for the complaints are pretty much summed up in the statement that you wrote above- in this suffering economy, WHY are the financial corporations receiving bailouts when it is we, the American middle working class taxpayers are undergoing financial stress and experiencing an increasing polarization of class differences and disparities, are the ones who have to deal with these financial institutions compiling more interest and banking fees upon us, outsourcing jobs and virtually wiping out our employment from under us? On top of that, our government whose best interests are supposed to lie within "the people", are offering these bailouts without regard to protecting our livelihoods from being violated? The pay ratio of CEOs to employees in the US is 475:1, the largest ratio in the world, does that seem fair to you that these corporations receive the bailout when clearly it is the poor and suffering that need it the most.
I think that we all want fairness and to have opportunities and to be able to live a good quality of life and currently our socioeconomic system is not allowing for that. Many people are victims of a dysfunctional system and would like to see change.
