Are we or the corporations the true cause of slavery in China? When corporations create products, is it not for us to decide if we want to support this policy or not? Is it not so that by buying a product made in China I put money in the pocket of a corporation that produces there and by doing so give them support in their business? Is the company to blame or me for buying? Can I blame alcohol for making me drunk or do I have personal responsibility?

I do agree we should be better informed about products.

We are to blame as customers, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategic Legal Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

Unfortunately I'd have to say it's the people. My parents love free trade, even as me and my dad have no job and my mom has to work long hours to support everyone.

Which is why tariffs aren't barbaric, but is sensible. I suppose deregulation of banks worked well, didn't it? There are smart people and there are stupid people, but if we ignore sensible policy under the guise of "consumer freedom", (I'd argue that consumer protection allows more freedom) the actions of a handful can hurt everybody, even those who weren't involved. (Such as when you foreclose on a house, it brings down your neighbors' property value.)

You already know the answer and i know what is happening now is inspiring other people to admit what is going so we can have REAL change.

The rigged system is enforce through brutal violent domination. The failure of the rigged system has been engineered as a pretext for WWIII.

Our Masters would have us believe China is our enemy and would have the good people of China believe that the American citizens are their enemy. Well time to connect with them and let them know WE are calling out our Masters and they can do the same. We stand in solidarity with the good citizens of China.

It is not right that they suffer and die to make gadgets for us. It's not right that they live in a country where the divide is even worse.. and the poor are even MORE oppressed.

WE DEMAND PEACE NOW. We are on to their game. We refuse WWIII. Let them crash this rigged scheme. Peace is Prosperity and the basis for the new economy.

We do know that the Chamber of Commerce and our corporations lobbied hard against the raises for workers in the Honda plant. Slavery, we outsourced that.

The communist Chinese government who is responsible for the enslaving of their citizens.

The joke is on the USA. China will ask their workers to be slaves for a few years then they will use their knowledge to make us slaves. They'll create their own companies to create the same things they are building today and sell those products back to us.

Agreed. Honestly though they are probably paid what their labor is worth. It is ironic that in a lot of ways China is much more capitalistic than the USA.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 13 years ago

Capitalistic? They are the ultimate oligarchy that we seem to aspire to be.If we could just get rid of civil rights, the EPA yadda, yadda...then we could compete with those bastards.Harrumph, Where's my Cuban cigar?

when you drive to fast in your car, is the car producer responsible or the driver?

[-] 1 points by reaganite (100) 13 years ago

What would happen if those slaves unionized in China?

[-] 1 points by Brett77 (22) from Ellijay, GA 13 years ago

the government would probably shoot them without anybody knowing about them.

just like the whole cover-up of the ipads production process that is extremely intoxicating, there was a documentary about this subject on the Belgium television, it was broadcasted, stayed online for one day, and ever since there is no information none so ever about this subject on the internet

if corporations were so bad for the chinese, their communist overlords would have kicked the corporations out

[-] 0 points by TimUwe (39) 13 years ago

The people of China are responsible for their lives. They make the choice to live as they do. They choose to put up with their government.

[-] 1 points by Brett77 (22) from Ellijay, GA 13 years ago

and how about whomever consumer that decided to start buying chinese products vs american made, allowing jobs to go overseas?

[-] 1 points by TimUwe (39) 13 years ago

Its not possible for the USA to manufacture everything we want or need. Nor would I want to only buy American. I like variety and I like low prices.

[-] 1 points by Brett77 (22) from Ellijay, GA 13 years ago

and that is were you are in denial of personal responsibility! When you like cheap and you eat cheap hamburgers, whom are you going to blame than?

[-] 1 points by TimUwe (39) 13 years ago

Low prices and cheap are not the same. Look at cars. In the 70's and 80's American cars were crap. Along comes Japan, along comes competition. American car manufacturers had to get off their lazy buts and make better cars or go out of business. That's just one of many examples.

BTW, Ruby Tuesdays makes a killer buffalo burger. Its healthier than beef and costs the same. Gotta love the free markets and competition.

[-] 1 points by Brett77 (22) from Ellijay, GA 13 years ago

I agree with competition, and yes love a good burger at a reasonable price! Sometimes I do feel like a lot of my material comforts come at the expense of other people, and I have to agree that I do buy consumer products from time till time
