I've been wondering whether the 1% would be willing to accept the changes that loss of power will bring and I've come to the conclusion, they will not. We can expect to see more violence on the part of police.
For over a year I've been writing on my DailyKos page that we need a peaceful National Day of Strike. A day or a week when we, the 99%, only buy necessities. I love the idea of moving our money, because money is power and it votes. It wont stop the 1%, but it will send a message.
What will happen when serious injuries and yes, eventually a death occurs? If the 1% insists on maintaining power, will we loose what little freedom we have left? Are we entering a new Dark Ages and a new time of world serfdom?
1% will never accept anything ..it will never even hear our talks ... OWS is now a pan-peace movement but sure the 1% will change into a damn violent stuff...its the truth which the OWS should be ready to digest..sure the continent has entered already its new dark age
Depends on wether Occupy continues to attribute power to the 1% (by protests and issueing demands) or that we succeed in occupying the planet by absorbing the 1%. The way I see it, they're surrounded. The only power they have (or we give them) consists if their funny money. Well, let them choke on it. We're exposing their fraud. We can take away the power from them.
Step out the box! Just let it go, we will take care of each other, we don't need them or their funny money.
The "1%" will never lose power if you keep protesting the corporations. DC enables them through favorable laws and tax loopholes specifically designed to keep the rich wealthy and in power. Until you take the message to DC (yes, even the Dems are against you), nothing will change and this movement will disappear before the next election.
