In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted".

Even the devil serves God's purposes. The Ku Klux Klan marches to show people when they have been remiss in fighting racism, and internet trolls show us the topics where there is ignorance to be dispelled.
no. stirring the pot to get your desired effect is cowardly. your poetic bullshit is just that.
I'm not suggesting that trolling is as useful as making an informative and useful post - but it is more useful than saying absolutely nothing at all. Even where it is repetitive, disruptive, annoying, this should illustrate to us the deep flaws in how this forum, and all internet forums, are managed. They fail to bring the very best ideas to the top, but people can't really measure that as well as they can see a troll post five times. I'm not always saying that forums are up to the challenge, and sometimes they need to simply banish the trolls; but that is weakness, not resolution.
it would help if the supporters of ows had enough confidence in their position, they didn't feel the need to stir the pot on top of those who are against the movement.
I'm afraid I don't understand your usage of "stir the pot". This is simply a matter of answering questions and refuting fallacies.
