Forum Post: Any boycotts planned?

Will there be any proposed or planned, non-violent boycotts suggested by Occupy both in NYC and in other cities? It came to mind when reading public outrage at BoA's plan to start debit card use fees.

some folks have suggested boycotting credit cards. this is a great idea. are any boycotts planned for the oct 15 worldwide day? anyone else believe that some type of boycott is needed to show the strength of the movement? peaceful, of course, but maybe it's time that the financial sector begins to feel the movement, if only slightly -- a gentle hum. a trouser tug. a slight wedgie.

does anyone else know of any upcoming boycotts led by occupy? my thinking is that they are creating a bit of a slow burn, gently turning up the heat week by week.

If it helps I was against credit cards since high school (which isn't a long time ago) and swore I'd use cash only.

It doesn't mean anything now tho.

Suggestion - Boycott multinationals in any way you can, if you can. Support domestic. Support USA.

Interest on credit cards are 20-30 %. Gotta be the biggest waist of money ever.

it looks like they may be planning something towards banks -- see a national bank day coming up. personally, i think a boycott is needed, an anti, to show the actual strength of the movement. however it is done, i'll participate and offer support.
