Physicians For Social Responsibility
The Supreme Court heard a case yesterday on the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to regulate greenhouse gas emissions – the largest contributor to climate change. And, two new bills in the House that undermine the ability of the EPA to regulate carbon and protect public health.
We are engaging in a long fight against the fossil fuel industry addressing biggest public health issue of our time.
Now more than ever, PSR needs your sustaining support to:
- Convince the public to take action and prevent health effects of climate change;
- Recruit medical professionals and environmental experts;
- Engage legislators with pollution and global warming facts.
As a monthly donor, you keep science NOT politics at the forefront of efforts to protect our health and environment.
7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Catherine Thomasson, MD
Executive Director
P.S. Fossil fuel industries are placing our families and communities at risk! Can you let a friend know about PSR? Thank You!

I sent this in reply to their e-mail:
Thanks for your e-mail - this is the 1st that I have ever heard of your group.
You should also address the FDA as well as the EPA to remove known carcinogens and other health hazards from our market places. Dye in food and drinks for one - they have no nutritional value and quite a few detriments and are in some cases banned for use in other countries. Also hormones and steroids and antibiotics used on our food animals as well as chemicals used in the processing.
You really need to network/interface with other groups such as Sierra and AARP and the Union of Concerned Scientists the March against Monsanto etc etc etc etc etc. Merge efforts for greater impact/influence.
