Facebook, Google+, Twitter and other profit driven social networking sites have their place. Many of the people we are trying to reach are not activists, but they use these sites simply to communicate with their friends and family and get a bit of news here and there. That is where activist Facebook pages can help. Our pages can be used to get information out to the average user, to educate the average citizen.

But... long-term... the activists of this PEOPLE's Movement must be smart enough to develop our own networking site. And the site must not be dependent upon advertising profits, it must be driven by passion for the PEOPLE's Movement. WE are the Democracy - http://www.wearethedemocracy.com - is driven by passion for the PEOPLE's uprisings and NOT profits.

The uprisings are not limited to the Occupy Actions, there are labor uprisings and the American Spring Uprisings that started in states like WI, OH, IN, MI, FL, etc... a year ago are alive and well. We all have similar goals and a LOT in common. Let us do the work of building our own on-line community, a place where we can come together, network, and coordinate our efforts.

Please strongly consider joining the WE are the Democracy project. Then help this project grow into a viable home base for all the different activists and activist groups involved in the PEOPLE's Uprisings happening all over this country.
