I drive taxi at night in NYC and the radio is my almost constant companion at work. I listen to 1010 WINS a lot because they have traffic reports every ten minutes. they do a cycle of twenty minutes of brief news items. Well, all night they reported on Occupy's plans for Christmas day. I want to congratulate those who thought of the plan for Liberty Plaza. I don't know how many millions of people were reminded about Occupy Wall Street in a very positive light- because Occupy is going to feed "the marginalized" today, because Occupy is going to read Martin Luther King's speech against the Vietnam War today and even is going to have a communion service. In terms of reminding lots of people that they are the 99% and Occupy is for them this modest activity did wonders.
About taxi drivers - almost all are immigrants who work under very bad conditions for not much money. Natural supporters of Occupy I think. Maybe at some point in 2012 there can be some sort of outreach?
Have a merry Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, New Year.
Now I understand why you're a conspiracy theorist; a lack of education combined with a radio playing all day long. That's a recipe for a brain disaster.
