The story goes like this" On a small Aegean island, a Greek farmer and a Turkish farmer were neighbors. God came to the Greek and told him that He'd give him anything at all that he desires, but that whatever the Greek gets, the Turk will get twice as much. "Pluck one of my eyes out.: was the answer. This reminds me of Tea Partiers who need Social Security Medicare, and some even need food stamps and housing assistance but they so much do not want "the other" to have anything they'd deny it to themselves. The other could be non whites, foreigners, African Americans, the wrong kind of African American (as opposed to "the good ones") Hippies, people who question organized religion or outright are against it or people who have good sex lives. Whatever. They prefer the rich who rip them off get away with more grand theft than " the other" get anything even though he or she who deserves it too.
