This is for everyone who wants a third party candidate, or even just a third choice on their ballots this November.
The first round of Americans Elect caucuses begins on May 7th, 32 days from now. If you haven't checked out this program yet, now is a good time.
PBS News Hour reported tonight that out of the current registered voters 38% were registered Independent followed by 32% Democrat and 28% Republican 2% undeclared. This was a good segment that also talked to the PEW research group. The independents were also described as having republican leanings and democratic leanings but not tied to follow party line. It was noted though that the independents were more issue and substance oriented and likely to swing unpredictably depending on the issue presented. Issues being key to independent's support.
Any opinions on this issue? I know third party politics are a hot topic for many on this board.
