The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little. - Franklin D. Roosevelt
Governments are consolidated and supported for the mere purpose of protecting its people, its territory and its common wealth. Our government today has become quite the opposite. It is a government of oppression, inconsistencies and it is quickly becoming a dictatorship. The tactics of today's manipulation are a bit different from those of past dictatorships such as that of Sadam Hussein or Stalin, but their results will be the same if we let them. This government uses media, economic bell-outs, avid politicians and law enforcement to muscle, manipulate, lie and steal from its people as if Americans were just a brainless pack. Today's reality is nothing far from a legalized old-style mafia shake down.
This beautiful movement is here today to empower Americans to stand up to our government in peace to say we are not okay with this, and we will not continue supporting this obscure agenda. It is not okay for this government to try to silence a movement like this one, while it has supported movements in the middle east to overthrow governments such as that in Egypt.
We must show the government that the people are in control and that our DNA is made out of the same principals and values as those of great leaders such as Lincoln, FDR, JFK, MLK and others that have helped shape this country into the land of the free, a land of equality where the American Dream is possible for all.
It is not okay for the Government to protect special interests at the expense of the demise of the rest of us. It is a slap in the face to allow banks, corporations and investment funds to gamble people's pensions away without any regard while hiding their heinous acts behind fixed laws that give these corporations no accountability for their actions. When they go down only the unsuspected tax payer is the only one that pays the price. This is no longer okay.
It is not okay to use fears of terrorism to manipulate Americans to sign off their future and that of their children to support unnecessary wars that have only produced senseless deaths and destruction. We were lured into investing over 4 trillion dollars of tax payer money in the name of democracy and peace. None of which are yet a reality in the Middle East. What have we reaped from this investment is nothing other than global hatred towards America, high oil prices, we are around the corner from another depression, we have lost innocent soldiers, we are too far into debt and in today's reality people are barely putting food on their table or keeping a job.
How dare politicians stand up and ask why invade Wall Street? Go to Washington and protest there. Wall Street is the place where all this obscure agenda plays off against unsuspected Americans who are literally getting jacked of their future. It is like a massive casino where the American dream gets gambled away for the benefit of a few. Just like any casino the house always wins. Every time big corporations decide is time to bell out and wipe investors clean, all they do is produce massive layoffs which often ignite share sales which send the value of their stock plummeting down in a free fall taking with them people's 401k and futures with them.
Uninformed politicians should read Benjamin Graham to understand that Wall Street brokers make money whether the market does good or bad. I would say they make even more money when companies go under because people tend to trade more in a panic to savage some of their investments. It is a win-win situation for them that is why they always clap at the opening and closing every day despite of how good or bad the market does. They are in the business of making money and our economic future is in their hands.
i was eating my dinner, and i thought to myself, i'm eating a pork steak, and some mashed potatoes, i wonder what a homeless person is eating right now
