His crime: When he was in America he translated a book about the king, and published the unflattering bits on the internet. He was charged with making defaming and terroristic speech several years ago, but was not arrested until he set foot in Thailand.

feel safer yet?
wait until our govt arrests someone for doing the same....and it will happen....its guaranteed!!! This slippery slope is only getting more steep by the day. I'm at a loss for words anymore.....i do not care about my financial well being or my health....i care for all the freedoms i no longer have.
Soon the true terrorists will be the ones not labeled as such.
Sounds like an invitation to bomb Thailand.
There are some on this forum who think Teaparty peple are "terrorists" and should be arrested for the so-called crime of wanting to privatizing Social security. While I do not agree with aht position, I still people have a right to speak without being labeled a terrorist and thrown in prison. Same goes for the right of a US citizen to criticize a king.
Perhaps he should research Thai culture before talking shit about it.

What part of "while in America" did you not understand? They charged him for a crime while he on American soil (where free speech is almost limitless).
