Forum Post: alternative to human microphone

The human microphone, while somewhat endearing, seems a fairly cumbersome way to communicate and must be getting tiresome. I understand that megaphones aren't allowed... but here's an idea: Create a very limited range local FM radio station and have people tune in on battery powered radios. You can get a radio transmitter like this one: http://www.ramseyelectronics.com/cgi-bin/commerce.exe?preadd=action&key=FM30B and plug in a mic. According to the FCC you don't need a license if your range is less than 200 feet (http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/audio/lowpwr.html#UNLICENSED). Just an idea that i thought i would pass along
