Obama keeps saying day in day out that he will tax companies out sourcing to india, and reduce taxes on companies insourcing, but where is the action? how many years does it take to impose tax on companies out sourcing, meanwhile, accenture, hp, microsoft, ibm and retails companies, wallmart, kmart, target continue to out source to india, and americans continue to lose jobs.
Current "free trade" policies send jobs overseas. What we need is Fair Trade.

excatly, but some body needs to put pressure on the governmnet, other wise the powerful corporate bodies will undermine US interests. It is rediculus to see India and china threaning US policies, even tough these countries became rich becuase of US, both ways US will becoame a loser, if this out sourcing menance is not stopped.
The government has been bought and paid for. IMO, it cannot fix itself. The very people that we elect do not represent us. The system is broken. We should be able to represent ourselves through a Direct Democracy !!

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories. - Thomas Jefferson

Obama is a bought and paid for stooge of Big Corps. He will do nothing to negatively impact those Big Corps. He will say all kinds of things to make the ignorant public think he CARES for the little people. You want to change Washington??? Vote out all incumbents. That will shake the halls of power.
I don't know how this distinction can really be made without something like a value added tax. I mean, a value added tax accomplishes the same thing, without producing more dysfunctional incentives.
It's a distraction. Taxes are what politicians and the media said will balance it. It's b.s., taxing will not get more money into the hands of those that create demand, it will only add to the defense budget. As it is now, they are spending our retirement (Social Security) money on unemployment and calling it a victory. Anything to avoid getting more money to those that create demand. That is what they are trying desperately to not have a conversation about.
It's just rhetoric. He'll do no such thing. Republicans and most democrats won't let him and he knows it.
