They have no skills. They can't get a job. They live with their parents forever and are leaches. If they got an engineering degree they would be working now and would not be a burden on society. They must leave America!!

Fun Fact: The concept of the Liberal Arts education was conceived by Benjamin Franklin, and he established the University of Pennsylvania to promote it.

See, he considered a liberal arts education to be absolutely vital to a vibrant, functional democracy.

He still found time to invent a whole bunch of useful things, some of which we still use today.

I have a liberal arts degree, and I also program computers. Oddly, I get a 10 times more work with my language degree work (I work as a translator, because I speak 4 languages). Many engineering fields are glutted. I know plenty of engineers out of work.

Um.........don't look now but, engineering jobs are being outsourced.

They have been with R&D and tech jobs.

Are you saying a degree in "LGBT Studies" won't provide enough income to purchase a yacht and a summer home in Monte Carlo?

Shush! This is a horrible idea! Us engineers need cheap labor too you know.

those who think that "education" in it's novelty form, (Like liberal arts, Political Science, Philosophy, etc) is important, would be better of getting a library card than accruing tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt....If you don't have a definite purpose for your education/training....you're probably wasting time and money on a social situation.
