Why do the rich keep themselves isolated from the rest of us?They live in a gated community, they go to better schools, get better healthcare, yet they seem to think that by paying more they will lose all this.So by giving somebody that's poor healthcare there healthcare is all of a sudden it's no good?If there kids studied with a poor kid, what is there kid going to grow up to be poor? They limit there worker to have just enough to live but not enough to empower themselves. They like the fact that they are in a "class" by themselves.

sorry about that. The public schools system failed me,not that it has failed everyone but inner city schools in the 80's sucked I didn't even studied science or history till high school

didn't even study. how did the school fail? was it completely the fault of the school, teachers, and administration? you sincerely gave it your best shot to learn? your parents helped and encouraged you, perhaps got you a tutor?

Oh, it was the schools alright. Our education system went from number one to number twenty or twenty five (don't remember the actual statistic) in the industrialized world. From the best to one of the worst and it's not getting any better. Don't blame the parents, the primary responsibility of the school is to teach basic education. They don't even do that much anymore. More like warehouses, or prisons.

lets just say in fourth grade we had no teacher the entire school year.just a different sub every day and you know what that means free time.FYI we all passed without not even one test.

Exactly... by: F. Scott Fitzgerald,

"Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand. They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations and refuges of life for ourselves. Even when they enter deep into our world or sink below us, they still think that they are better than we are. They are different."

In my own way, I think the rich see us as something like 'pets' - they're fond of us, don't like to us get hurt, want us to at least eat, if it's not too expensive they might pop for a vet visit but when push comes to shove they think - "hey, they're only an animal, they don't think or feel like us, lets just put this poor old thing out of it's misery and buy a new one."
