Corporations serve their stockholders 'need' for short term profit. There is currently no governing language that say they have ANY obligation or responsibility (legal or moral) to the community or the environment. I propose that language of corp charters in all states be modified to include "first do no harm to OUR environment" and "Socially responsible action that contributes to community and world good."
In other words, if a corp is not socially responsible or harmful, profits for the few is antithetical and possibly criminal. Dyck
