To be in the top 10% of richest people in the world (who own 75% of the worlds' assets) you need total assets of US$61,000 (the value of everything you own). So if you want to implement a 90% tax on everybody who has over US$61,000 in total assets and give it to the genuinely poor in the third world then go for it America.

Raising minimum wage to a living wage would eliminate a lot of jobs. Entry-level jobs, specifically.

An amendment to free higher education should be a piece of the solution. With an educated America, we will be able to solve our own issues. Additionally, it will help many Americans become aware of their the tragedies performed by our politicians and corporate government.

Corporations are not people - the recent Supreme Court rulings point to a court that is controlled by corporations. This fight needs to focus on the legislative branch as well. I do not recall the phrase "we the corporations".

You do realize that this one policy would kill a lot of your other policies?

Sustainability test for all policies.

Just saying.

Not sure what you mean.

I believe Sustainability needs to be a litmus test for what we do.

That means we look for answers that are sustainable with our environment.

We consider the impacts on futrue generations, rather than being driven by short term profits.

We create green jobs, green energy.

We use the best environmental science and environmental economics to guide our policy choices.

We focus on Sustainable Developement vs. Sustained Growth.

And our policies need to serve the interests of the bottom 90% instead of the top 10%.

That's "Sustainable", and that's compatible with all the other agenda items I suggested.

Oh, gotcha. I thought you meant sustainable as in the program would only be enacted if the policy would be able to be carried out forever on its own.

For instance, if we enacted this policy, 90% tax on top 10%, including inheritances, and windfall profits in oil and banking, most of those hit by the tax would leave over a 10 year period, thus making it unsustainable after about 10 years.

That one is punitive, it isn't intended to be a long-term revenue stream. It's about re-distribution of wealth as a penalty for success.
